Winter – The Ultimate Yin Season: A Special Workshop with Rachael Moore
FRIDAY 25 JANUARY 7-9pm
According to traditional Chinese Medicine, Winter the most Yin of all the seasons, is a time to let go of all things that have ceased to be of use, or service to us, so as we may hold the space and potential for the promise of new possibilities to come in Spring.
Winter is associated with the kidneys and urinary bladder and also with the water element.
The balance of the kidneys is important for our vitality and overall health and roots both the Yin & Yang energies into the body.
The element of water teaches us how to approach the darkness of winter by being fearless, fluid and flexible in our approach to the natural ebb and flows of life. Water nourishes and lubricates our bones, our joints and body like a balm. It’s formless nature means it can move through and around obstacles with both grace and strength.
In this 2 hour extended class, we will explore the depths of winter through a warming , fluid and nourishing vinyasa practice sequenced with a focus on the water element and how it is represented in our physical and subtle body. This will guide us into a stilling Restorative and Yin practice where we will seek to bring balance and harmony by focusing on the kidneys and urinary bladder. The two sections of this class will be supported by carefully selected Essential Oils, blended to compliment our intention and the elements being explored.

About Rachael Moore:
Rachael Moore is an experienced Yoga Teacher, Instructor at camyoga & Sweaty Betty Ambassador. She is also a doTerra essential oils wellness advocate and she looks forward to sharing her love of these beautiful oils with you.
Rachael believes that yoga is not about being the best in the room, yoga is not about being competitive (even with yourself), yoga is not always the glossy images you see in the magazines, practising yoga, does not mean that you no longer experience hardship or tough times (unfortunately). The practice of yoga is far greater and deeper than all of that. Yoga gives you the tools for everyday living, it helps you on every level of your being. Yoga releases your tired stiff body from sitting at a desk all day helping you re-find that childhood softness and agility. In helping you re-claim physical flexibility, this flexibility then leads to greater flexibility in the mind and how we react to life situations off the mat. It leads you towards a truer more honest you! Wherever you are in your life, yoga can be there for you . It can transform the body physically, energetically and emotionally. It can energize, detox, heal and nourish you .
