This workshop will take you from an active yoga practice through to a calm and tranquil state. We will begin with an active vinyasa yoga practice and then gently start to slow down with some restorative yoga postures followed by a relaxing yoga nidra and meditation.
There will also be short break where we will enjoy tea and a small snack.

In Restorative yoga all postures are fully supported with blankets, blocks and bolsters ensuring your comfort, whilst your body gently relaxes. Restorative yoga balances the nervous system and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system. This can help to improve sleep, and reduce the likelihood of depression and anxiety.
Energy is everything, energy is vibration and vibration is sound. As human beings our resonance/vibration changes depending on how we feel. In our sound journeys we use instruments that create a sense of calm, relaxation and healing. This is achieved by the resonance of the instruments influencing and encouraging harmony with those in our bodies.
Please arrive between 12:50 and 1:00pm, wearing comfortable clothing for yoga and maybe an additional layer and socks as the body cools down. Blankets will be provided.

Meet Ian Bentley:
Ian was drawn to yoga to help manage a long standing lower back pain, from their Ian developed a deeper interest into the broader benefits of yoga. This has led to a desire to learn more and share the benefits of both yoga and meditation. In the Summer of 2017 Ian qualified as a Yoga Teacher and wanted to support this with the meditation teacher training provided by Traditional yoga.
Ian lives in Norwich and previously worked in the fast-paced world of operational management in an NHS hospital. Ian has developed his meditation and yoga practice to help manage his challenging role and this has inspired him to share yoga and meditation to help others be the best version of themselves.
