About

My yoga journey began in 1973 when I learned and started to practice both transcendental meditation and yoga.

These became my lifeline to handle the stresses of working in the movie business, where between producing films, I participated in courses, including Thai yoga massage, Ayurvedic medicine and lifestyle, Shiatsu massage and foundation NLP, in addition to attending retreats, workshops and spending time studying in India in 1988.

I undertook my British Wheel of Yoga training with Tara Fraser and in 2000 began teaching private clients.

In 2016, I embarked on a deeply spiritual course of Integral Hatha Yoga founded by Sri Swami Satchidananda and led by Rev Padma Devi, working through the koshas and branches of yoga, including philosophy.

In 2017, I started teaching at Thaxted Yoga, and in December 2019, I became the owner. I took over the studio filled with optimism to grow the business, create a safe space and bring our community together for yoga and friendship. I am happy to say I feel we have achieved this in many ways, and I am proud to have seen the studio and our yogis through Covid - a tough time for all of us.

In May 2023, I made the tough decision to close the studio at Hammer Hill Farm.

I now run yoga classes from nearby Little Easton Memorial Hall, as well as from my home shala in Duton Hill. I also organise events and workshops in the local area.

People make places - so let us continue our Sangha... Om shanti shanti shanti.

Yoga creeps into your life and consciousness. Gradually, as you respect the practice and the deep yoga philosophy, your respect and compassion for everyone and everything around you grows.
